This award celebrates the achievements of young researchers in the polymer community.<br \/>\n<em>&gt; 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/9th-polymer-international-iupac-award-goes-to-athina-anastasaki\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Athina Anastasaki<\/a><\/em><br \/>\n<em>&gt; 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/8th-polymer-international-iupac-award-goes-to-zachary-hudson\/\">Zachary Hudson<\/a><\/em><br \/>\n<em>&gt; 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/7th-polymer-international-iupac-award-goes-to-guihua-yu\/\">Guihua Yu<\/a><br \/>\n<\/em>&gt; <em>2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/sixth-polymer-international-iupac-award-goes-cyrille-boyer\/\">Cyrille Boyer<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Hanwha-Total<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>IUPAC Young Scientist Award <\/strong>(formerly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Samsung-IUPAC-young-polymer-chemist-award.pdf\">Samsung-IUPAC Young Scientist Award)<\/a><br \/>\nEstablished to honor a early career polymer chemist. The winner of the Hanwha-Total IUPAC Young Scientist Award is chosen every other year right before the World Polymer Congress from a pool of recommended candidates who are early in their career, typically within 15 years of attaining their doctorate or equivalent degree. Appropriate consideration will be given to those who have taken a career break, worked in systems where their time period to independence may vary, or who followed an alternative study path. The award is managed by the IUPAC Polymer Division and made possible by an endowment from Samsung Total Petrochemical Co. At the same time the\u00a0Balarew Award was inaugurated to recognize a for an Outstanding Young Scientist working in the field of critical evaluation of solubility and\/or related chemical equilibria.<em><br \/>\n<\/em>&gt; 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/paolo-franzosini-prize-and-christo-balarew-award-2024\/\">Cezary Gumi\u0144ski and Christian Ekberg<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>&gt; <em><a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/502-Franzosini-Award-History.pdf\">History of the Franzosini Award<\/a>; announcement of the 2022\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/what-we-do\/awards\/franzosini-award\/\">Franzosini Award<\/a> given to <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/the-franzosini-award-of-2022\/\">Yongheum Jo<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Balarew Award<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Inaugurated in 2023 to recognize a promising young scientists working in solubility and chemical equilibria to be administered of the Subcommittee on Solubility and Equilibrium Data of IUPAC, the Award, with cash prize of US$ 1000 is made possible thanks to generous support of Professor Christo Balarew, professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia, Bulgaria, who is an enthusiastic supporter of the Solubility Data Project and deeply involved in IUPAC activities.<em><br \/>\n<\/em>&gt; 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/paolo-franzosini-prize-and-christo-balarew-award-2024\/\">M\u00e4rt L\u00f5kov<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>IUPAC-Zhejiang NHU International Award for Advancements in Green Chemistry<\/strong><br \/>\nEstablished to encourage young and experienced chemists, and to emphasize the importance of advancements in Green Chemistry and the value of sciences to human progress.
